Great to be back for a Halloween hog roast in Pinner

Great to be back. I always feel that this is the end of the season. Sally and Rob were so excited about their party that they booked our services back in February, This was the third year on the trot and so a great honour and pleasure to be involved once more. The party is held at their home in Pinner and so easy to get to. I seemed to have picked up a lot of work in the hog roast Pinner area.  Earlier in the year I did a great little wedding close so it was good to be back in that neck of the woods.

It was great to see that not a lot had changed, although there were some wonderful pumpkin carvings. Someone had a lot of time on their hands . There was a carved coach which was almost bettered by a spider carved and illuminated. What will they think of next.

PumpkinsThe set up was in the usual place. I felt a little strange that a year had gone by . How time had flown .As always I was offered numerous cups of tea. I was pleased to return a mug that I had accidentally packed away the year before.

I offered to carry the pallets across the garden to prepare for the bonfire. There was supposed to help, and there was , eventually. I nearly offered to operate the chainsaw but this would have been a bridge too far if anything had gone wrong. I quietly sat and sipped tea, my duties were over.

Guests started to arrive at 5, and the fun started with all the party games. I got ready for service at 6. It was magical to be greeted and remembered by so many of their guests. The satisfying part was that th

ey were still remembering the party (and pork) from last year. I served as usual with all the same jokes and one liners. This year Rob had another outfit on – amazing. He had the children trying to eat dangling  donuts – of course’ hands free’. Then followed the piñata which as always nobody seemed to be able to break open and so after a while one of the dad’s ripped it open !! Slightly alarming, and probably scared the kids (or not) !!

It was definitely a party that I could have stayed at, but thankfully I had work the next day, and so politely left them to it . Perhaps they will invite me back again ….

thank you once again for another sterling job. We had lots of compliments on the food and how much people look forward to the hog roast in Pinner every year so your efforts were very much appreciated.

Thanks again.
