We’ve just had some lovely feedback from a local poetry society who recently hired one of Hog Roast Croydon’s Hogmaster machines for an event and we were pleased to learn that they were very happy customers indeed!
They needed some cooking equipment so they could provide food for an event they had organised – namely a pork and poetry night for the community, giving members of the society and any local people who wanted to try their hand at poetry the chance to do a reading of one of their poems, followed by some great grub to reward them for their courage! They thought a ‘pork and poetry’ theme had a nice ring to it, and whilst they had the poetry bit sorted, they needed help with the pork part of the evening, so they came to us and they were very glad they did!
The Hog Roast Croydon team may not be experts when it comes to rhyming couplets, but we certainly know our stuff when it comes to hog roast machines because we design and make them all ourselves! So, after telling us their requirements and their concerns with regards to doing their own event catering, we knew that the Hogmaster would be the perfect piece of equipment to meet their needs and we weren’t wrong!
With its vast capacity, user-friendly set up and ability to be used indoors just as effectively as in the middle of a field, the poets turned chefs for the evening had no trouble at all in operating the Hogmaster and even though it was the first time they had done it, they managed to produce some perfectly cooked, melt-in-the-mouth pork for the budding poets who attended! By all accounts the pork went down as well as the poetry (and even better in some instances!) and the Hogmaster also made a great focal point for everyone to gather around as they watched the meat cooking through the glass panel in the front of the machine! It just goes to show that here at Hog Roast Croydon, we really do have a machine for hire that is suitable for any occasion!
