Hog Roast London Catering for a UK Body Building Competition

In the recent weeks here at Hog Roast London, we were contacted by a man named Kenny, a fitness enthusiast who for the past few years has organised a Body Building Competition. As the previous years have been so successful, this time Kenny wanted food to be available to the audience, and so he asked us to come along and provide guests with a wonderful spread. The competition was to be held in a local theatre and the stage would be where the main events took place. However we would be stationed outside with our trusty Gazebo and Hog Roasting equipment.

Hog Roast LondonWe spoke at length with Kenny about the particulars of his event, to make sure that we had everything we needed. For the choice of menu, Kenny wanted a variety of meats, and so he selected the Southern Slow Roast Menu, with the BBQ Pork Butt, the Texan 24HR Beef Brisket and the Cajun Spiced Whole Roast Chickens being the dishes to be served. All the meats would be available with a selection of sides, such as the Cajun Spiced Sweet Potato Wedges and the Seasonal Green Leaf Salad. The food was to be served buffet style onto disposable plates with high quality wooden cutlery.

When the day of the event arrived, the team from Hog Roast London were on site nice and early in order to begin the slow cooking process. As we slow cook all our meats and prepare every dish from scratch, using only fresh ingredients on site, we always make sure to arrive with plenty of time to spare so we can get everything ready. We were outside, under the protection of our Gazebo, guests had the option of taking their food through to the stage with them, and eating as the show progressed or enjoying their food outside.

The event ran until nine o’clock in the evening, by which time most of the guests had sampled and enjoyed some of the marvellous cuisine laid on by the team at Hog Roast London, but the job was yet to be completed by our chefs, who very kindly stayed longer and prepared plates for the brave competitors once the show had finished.
