Last weekend the beautiful couple, Mae and Fergus, took the leap and tied the knot. Winter weddings are always magical and luckily for us, Hog Roast West Horndon was the couples catering choice. Although the day was undeniably chilly, the sun was out and shining as the two shared their vows. The couple had gotten in touch with us last year in September and told us all about the plans they had in store for their special day. The pair had decided to keep their ceremony and reception small and intimate, choosing to hold their wedding reception in their garden under marquees. The Hog Roast West Horndon team cooked and prepared the alfresco wedding menu under lit-up gazebos.

Arriving guests were greeted with a selection of fine Italian meats, served on rustic-style wooden boards to their tables. The main course was served as a buffet and featured cuttings from a free-range pig that was slow-roasted for hours until perfection. Alongside it, we served sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. For vegetarians and vegans, we served zingy BBQ pulled jackfruit in a bun, dressed in homemade crunchy coleslaw. The side dishes available were a selection of fresh, colourful salads, our famous coleslaw, and roasted new potatoes. For dessert, guests were able to choose between cheesecake and chocolate torte, both topped with a serving of fresh fruit and cream.
