There are few things in life that are more exciting than a surprise party, and at Hog Roast Weybridge, we simply can’t get enough of them! Fortunately, these kinds of events are among our most popularly requested, and last week saw the catering team travel to a familiar residence for a sweet sixteenth birthday bash.
After falling in love with our gorgeous hog roast at her anniversary celebration last year, Andrea knew she could rely on Hog Roast Weybridge to make her son, Jamie’s milestone birthday extra special. With some advice and guidance from our team of experts, the client opted for our American-cuisine inspired southern slow roast menu with the addition of our recently launched loaded fries and a cake service to finish.
As the occasion neared, Andrea and the 75 invitees did a fantastic job of keeping the surprise party a secret from the birthday boy, but there was still one more thing that had to be done to ensure things stayed that way up until the very last moment. On the day of the event, Jamie’s father, Allan had the tricky task of prying his son away from his new video game and getting him out of the house for a few hours while the Hog Roast Weybridge team worked their magic.
Fortunately, Allan was able to complete his mission without raising suspicion from his son, and with the pair at a safe distance from the house, the catering crew worked against the clock to create an unforgettable birthday banquet which included BBQ pork butt, Texan 24 hour beef brisket, Cajun spiced whole roast chickens and meat-free sausages served in gluten-free rolls; along with jalapeno and melted cheese smothered fries, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw and an array of colourful salad options.
When Allan and Jamie returned home, they were greeted by a wave of birthday cheers from the guests and the mouth-watering scents of the buffet which Hog Roast Weybridge had spent the afternoon lovingly preparing. With Jamie taking the lead, everyone began tucking into the delicious feast which was finished off with a slice of gooey chocolate cake.
