Switching On The Christmas Lights With Hog Roast Richmond

If there’s one thing that’s sure to get us all in the Christmas spirit as the festive season begins, it’s watching our local lights getting switched on, and last week saw Hog Roast Richmond make the journey to a nearby village where over 500 residents were set to attend the annual event. Hoping to make this year’s celebration even more successful than the last, community event planner Rachel had asked us to serve our famed festive menu that combines the nation’s favourite winter flavours with our traditional hog roast feast which is quickly becoming a popular choice among many of our clients at this time of year.

Hog Roast RichmondAiming to have completed the buffet by 6:30 pm, the Hog Roast Richmond catering crew arrived at the precinct in the late morning where they immediately began setting up the gazebos, igniting the hog roast machines and preparing the wholesome produce which over the next six hours was lovingly transformed into an irresistible feast that even the fussiest of eaters couldn’t wait to dig in to! It wasn’t long before the crowds began to gather in anticipation of the big switch on and after adding the finishing touches to the buffet, the team excitedly announced its completion to the hungry residents.

With so much food on offer, the guests didn’t know where to begin but after each collecting a plate from the serving table they soon got into their stride by adding bountiful helpings of pigs in blankets, traditional mince pies with a brandy sauce and roasties to their plate which complimented the succulent pulled pork and crispy crackling perfectly. Even the vegetarians and vegans were in their element as they tucked into the grilled vegetable skewers with optional haloumi which they eagerly paired with the seasonal vegetable medley, cauliflower cheese and homemade gravy.

Everyone soon found themselves cheering as the lights were finally switched on and with plenty of food left to go around, the residents kept warm from within by topping up their helpings from the Hog Roast Richmond buffet table which had quickly become the talk of the town!
