A roast is one of the most comforting foods around. Everyone loves them, and it can help heal and recharge you from just about anything. There’s a reason, after all, that we all traditionally have them on a lazy Sunday evening when you’re recovering from the weekend and getting ready for the working week.
That is why Hog Roast Ealing’s selection of hog roast rolls were a perfect selection for our running club guests this past week!
For anyone that has taken a stroll around Ealing of late, or scrolled through Instagram at any point in the last few years, you may have noticed that running clubs have become in vogue of late. It is excellent to see as it offers many a nice social and encouraging atmosphere to both meet others and stay healthy. As there is such a surge in popularity for these running clubs, it is common to see them offer out extra benefits for coming along, or hosting special events to encourage more to join. Running with the express purpose of going to a coffee shop or bar is quite common, for example.
So it was of little surprise that one of the local clubs near us came calling for Hog Roast Ealing’s catering a few weeks ago. The club informed us that they like to do their best to switch up the “activity” of each running meet-up, so for this months they figured they could kick off the autumn with a perfect hog roast menu. We were more than happy to join them.
Our chefs conveniently “forgot” their running shoes, meaning they forewent the 5k run, but that was fine because it gave us the time we needed to finish up our cooking so that when the runners returned from their run to us they would each have a hog roast or BBQ pulled jackfruit roll or wrap to pick up and tuck into right away. After all, after that kind of running you need something delicious to recharge with as soon as possible. The runners were grateful, they only wish our Hog Roast Ealing chefs could have joined them on the road….
Maybe next time… (doubtful).
