Hog Roast Elmbridge had a magnificent job last week, the team was serving their American-inspired Southern Slow Roast menu to 20 people in a beautiful Stately home.
This particular menu is usually served buffet style where the guests come up to Hog Roast Elmbridge and state what they would like and the team serves it onto their plate for them however, this time this flavour-filled menu was being plated up and served to table. There was a long, grand solid wooden table that had been set out for ten people each side.
The drawing room where the guests were eating was marvellous, it had giant portraits of previous owners and families of the property. The table had several real-silver candle holders and placed carefully around those were lovely wreaths of real flowers. Despite these old houses usually being quite cold, the roaring fire under the hand-carved fireplace was keeping everyone toasty and warm.
Hog Roast Elmbridge’s Southern Slow menu entails three slow-cooked meats. Anne, head of the committee had selected lemon-chicken, incredibly moist and lovely and zesty, minted lamb, perfectly tender and fresh as well as Texan-BBQ beef, the meat just fell apart it was that succulent. All of the chosen meats were filled with mouth-watering flavour. It had been agreed that a portion of all the three meats would be placed on a plate unless Anne had advised otherwise. The delicious meats were accompanied by dreamy and hearty Mac and cheese, corn cobettes that were smothered in salted butter and fresh and colourful Greek salad. A plate loaded with delicious food, fit for a king. Despite not having any vegetarian guests, the menu still comes with a vegetarian option and therefore, everyone enjoyed a grilled halloumi skewer with Mediterranean vegetables sprinkled with Cajun spice.
As the midday serve arrived, the guests sat down, and Hog Roast Elmbridge’s five waitresses served the heavenly food to the table. The food was devoured by them all who gave their compliments to the chef and was thrilled it was not the usual mundane food they usually receive.
