Emily has to forgo having a nice cold glass of Chardonnay on a Friday night now that she is expecting, which is why she wanted to make the most of her other favourite weekend indulgence of roasted pork and crispy crackling! So, when she was planning her baby shower, she decided she wanted the best there was and hired Hog Roast Alperton to do the catering for her and all of her female friends and relatives! Our hog roasts are becoming an increasingly popular choice for christenings, but it was nice to be asked to be involved in celebrating the good news before the baby was born! We are just as happy to do smaller private parties in back gardens as we are larger events, and whilst we may scale down our set up and the number of staff required, we certainly don’t scale down on the quality of the food or service!
Emily was very happy to hear this as we set up on her patio and with all the excitement of her baby news and the other aspects of the party to prepare she didn’t have any energy left to worry about doing the food herself as well, so she was very relieved to leave the catering in Hog Roast Alperton’s capable hands! Emily got busy making room in her conservatory for all the gifts she was hoping to receive, whilst we made sure her favourite meat was at its succulent best. The slow roasted pork was smelling divine as everyone arrived and Emily was so preoccupied with how good it would taste, that she didn’t mind pouring all the girls a glass each of her favourite tipple even though she was allowed to drink! We served up the pork with our extra special version of the traditional trimmings Emily loved so much amid a flurry of photos, balloons and wrapping paper, but when our baby shower diners had their first mouthful, suddenly all of the hubbub came to a halt!
Emily confirmed that, true to our word, Hog Roast Alperton had delivered the best slow-roasted pork and the crispiest crackling she had ever tasted! For Emily, the food couldn’t have been any better, so much so we will get the opportunity to meet the new addition to her family, as she has asked us to come back to cater for the christening too! Good luck Emily and we’ll see in you in a few months!
