Here at Hog Roast Pitshanger, we think that it’s never too early to get your Christmas catering all done and dusted, as now that it’s getting later in the year, we’re often asked by customers to book them in ahead. You know what it’s like by December – every year, the festive season suddenly creeps up on you – so how about this year, you sort your party or event in plenty of time, months before even, and then you don’t have to worry about it not going to plan at the last minute.
Whether you’re planning a get-together with family, friends or work colleagues, we’ve got your next Christmas meal covered here at Hog Roast Pitshanger, as with our amazing Festive Menu, you get to feast on lots of scrumptious food. First choose your main course from either our signature food – a mouthwatering, slow-roasted, free-range hog roast with all those trimmings you know and love of homemade apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing, in addition to lashings of our own-recipe gravy – or for something a bit more traditional – yummy whole-roasted turkeys, roasted over flames, and which we serve with cranberry sauce and stuffing.
Either way, your selected main will be accompanied by our ideal winter warmers of homemade cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets, as well as a seasonal medley of vegetables including green beans, glazed Brussels sprouts, Chantenay carrots and peas and, of course, golden brown roasted potatoes, which we prepare with garlic and rosemary before cooking. If that’s not enough to fill you up, this Christmas meal is finished off beautifully with our traditional mince pies and brandy cream. Note that this menu also includes a vegetarian option if needed, of our highly popular grilled halloumi and vegetable skewers (which can easily be made vegan if preferred, by us omitting the cheese), and they’re served with wraps and our Tzatziki dip.
