Hog Roast Pimlico’s Southern menu is fantastic, who doesn’t love a menu that provides options, especially three meats – yum! The menu choices are given to you and you just let Hog Roast Pimlico know which food items you would like for your event.
The lovely Sarah booked the Southern Menu for her 70th birthday. It was a weekend full of celebration with the whole family renting a holiday home so that they could all be together. It event had an indoor swimming pool, pool table and miniature movie theatre. The place was amazing! Sarah didn’t just have an amazing venue and great company, she also had delicious food.
After liaising with her catering manager, Sarah decided to change up the menu. Rather than having the traditional Southern menu, she tailored it to more of a carvery meal. The meats, usually marinated in Bourbon and Texas-styled BBQ sauces would be seasoned with herbs that complemented the meat, for example rosemary and garlic for the lamb, sage and garlic for the pork joint and thyme for the beef joint. Sarah requested the beef joint to be cooked with a little bit of pink in the middle, this was no problem for Hog Roast Pimlico. The Southern menu requires the customer to select four side dishes. Sarah changed the salad options she originally chose to a medley of seasonal vegetables, instead of chips, roasted new potatoes and an addition to the normal menu: cauliflower cheese. Sarah kept the Mac and cheese option specifically for her grandchildren.
Hog Roast Pimlico’s catering manager still insisted on cooking the meats low and slow to ensure succulence and provided Sarah and her guests with crispy crackling off the pork joint. The cauliflower cheese especially went down well with the guests, with some saying it was the best they had ever tasted! Sarah’s little granddaughter was particularly thankful for the Mac and cheese option
Sarah was thrilled that Hog Roast Pimlico delivered her tailored menu and fully indulged in the amazing food.
