This October, she decided to host a seminar for book lovers, authors, and booksellers to enjoy, with discussions from a variety of authors. Jen sold tickets online for her event and it proved to be more popular than she could have imagined, with over 200 tickets being sold. To accommodate this, she hired a local function room for the event to ensure that there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the seminar. On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Borough Green team arrived at the function room with plenty of time to prepare the menu. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, before it was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. We also served BBQ pulled jackfruit in bread rolls for meat-free guests to enjoy. The rolls were accompanied by a selection of salad dishes, as well as homemade chips, to create a varied and delicious buffet lunch. Our menu was a great addition to the event and went down a treat with the guests and speakers.
