Nothing Says Summer Like An Outdoor Feast With Hog Roast Wimbledon!

When you’re still in school, breaking for the summer holidays is the best feeling ever. Nothing compares to the knowledge that you’ve got six (or in some cases, 7!) long weeks of fun lined up before going back to another year of gruelling classes, late nights spent pouring over homework and exam revision. And understanding the importance that the last day of the school term holds for pupils and teaching staff alike, Dulwich College’s head of events, Julia, had arranged for Hog Roast Wimbledon to provide a mouth-watering meal to celebrate the occasion.

With 350 mouths to feed on the day, Julia had chosen our Classic Hog Roast Menu, which is ideal for large-scale events such as this one, where the food needs to be served quickly and efficiently to all the guests. (After all, the last thing you want is anyone getting hangry!) But as an extra special touch, the client had also asked for a couple of delicious dessert options for after the spit roast, and Alistair, our catering manager, was happy to oblige.

Fast-forward to the day of the party, Alistair and 10 additional members of the Hog Roast Wimbledon branch arrived at the private school, which instantly took their breath away with its stunning 17th-century architecture and perfectly manicured lawns. The weather was gorgeous, to boot, which made the process of slow roasting the pigs faster and more seamless than usual.

Hog Roast WimbledonBy the time the guests had descended on the space later that afternoon, Hog Roast Wimbledon had already managed to complete the aromatic and visually beautiful feast of pulled pork, sweet and zesty applesauce, sage and onion stuffing and crunchy crackling, which they served up with tasty sides of roasted baby potatoes, salad and gluten-free rolls. The icing on the cake was the buffet table, which had been covered with individually arranged lemon tarts and chocolate tortes.

Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the food that was on offer, and by the end of the event, the entire feast had been devoured by the guests. So, all that was left for Hog Roast Wimbledon to do was clear away the empty plates, pack up and head back to HQ.
